Using a ceiling rose will allow you to cover the hole in your roof and make a connection to your lighting circuit with the supplied connectors. Have a ceiling rose/plate with multiple outputs will allow you to cluster your custom pendant, hanging each light at different lengths or using ceiling hooks for a spider effect.
